Dr. William Puetz proudly joins Tenggren Dental Care in Simi Valley, CA, as a general dentist with a keen eye for details and aesthetics. Dr. Will obtained his degree in dentistry from Creighton University, where he had a robust and diverse portfolio including every discipline of dentistry on patients from all over the region. Dr. Will received his Masters (M.A. & M.S.) in Biology and Oral Biology at St. Joseph’s and Creighton Universities respectively.
Prior to attending dental school, Dr. Will, who was born and raised in Staten Island, NY, attended Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia for his undergraduate degree in Biology and Italian. During his undergraduate studies, he also spent a semester abroad in Rome, Italy, to gain a global perspective. Dr. Will continued his education in earning his Masters (M.A. & M.S.) in Biology and Oral Biology at Saint Joe’s, and Creighton University respectively. With his move to Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, he first pursued an MS in Oral Biology with a focus in Clinical Anatomy. This program within the dental school was research based and Dr. Will’s research brought insight into the activation of two inflammatory proteins in patients with gum disease and those that smoke. Throughout the program, Dr. Will also acted as a TA and tutor to the dental school in the disciplines of Anatomy and Histology, giving him a strong foundation in two of the critical basic sciences required for dentists to succeed.
While in dental school, he was involved in multiple student groups including ASDA and SNDA which afforded him access to community service projects. Additionally, he spent time volunteering at a local Omaha organization’s partnership with his school called OneWorld which allowed members of the underserved community to come in and receive dental care.
As a world-traveler who speaks English and Italian, Dr. Will has traveled throughout Europe, Asia, and visited much of the continental U.S. With a passion for serving others, Dr. Will has established himself as a pillar of his community. Dr. Will is an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, San Fernando Valley Dental Society, the California Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
